Studio Inquiry

This studio will explore what constitutes fashion design and how we can explore fashion branding. It will examine how fashion businesses establish the image of their company in the eyes of potential customers, using product name, brand, colours, logo and more to help build a coherent fashion brand.

Engagement

Students will explore existing fashion brands and fashion designers, whilst creating new and exciting forms of creative expression for fashion brands.
They will engage with contemporary fashion brands and envision how the merging of art, culture and design can influence new forms of fashion enterprise.

Communication of knowledge

Students will learn how to create a fashion brand by examining what constitute a successful fashion brand. Students will learn how to recognise the key factors for consideration when it comes to fashion branding and marketing in current and new environments.

Activities

Students will be exposed to classroom-based workshop activities which will feed into their learning of the subject matter.

Assessments

This studio has 3 interwoven assessment tasks that inform each other and act as a critical dialogue with the subject matter.
